Pastoral dogs

The Pastoral breeds are essentially working and herding dogs for cattle, sheep and reindeer (amongst others). They generally have a weatherproof double coat in order to protect from the elements where these may be bad. The dogs include old favourites like the Collies, Old English Sheepdogs and Samoyeds. They make great pets, but some can't resist the urge to herd the family where appropriate.
